The Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Cologne gives guest performance in Fuengirola
Wednesday, 10 April 2019 20:30 at the Casa de la Cultura
Under the motto "Klassik überall... Concerti virtuosi" works by Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart and Peter Tschaikowski will be performed this year.
Classical music everywhere - that is the motto of the Kammerphilharmonie Köln. It doesn't matter to our musicians whether they play in a small village church, in the open air, in Cologne Cathedral or in the Sydney Opera House - their joy of playing is the same every time.
The objective is simple - we want to inspire as many people as possible across generations for classical music. The popularity of our ensemble is reflected in the fact that the Kammerphilharmonie Köln performs around 300 concerts a year around the globe and that listeners all over the world look forward to meeting our exceptional musical talents.
The Chamber Philharmonic was founded in the city whose name it bears: Cologne. The city that is famous worldwide for its music academy and its music and instrumental pedagogues. For decades, generations of musicians have been trained here who have no equal in the world of musicality. Using these talents, a tribe of outstanding musicians emerges, who carry our motto into the world in changing instrumentations.
Since November 2009, the Kammerphilharmonie Köln has had a special partner in the form of the Mercedes-Benz Center Köln. As part of a creative collaboration, the world-famous company is providing a comfortable tour bus through its Cologne branch, which is enthusiastic about our musical concept. With this bus, our musicians can reach the various concert venues quickly and conveniently. In return, the Kammerphilharmonie, in close cooperation with the Mercedes-Benz Center Cologne, organizes special concerts for special customers of the car dealership. In addition, the remarkable building of the Mercedes-Benz Center will be transformed into a first-class concert palace. The scent of new cars is mixed with the sounds of classical music.
The Kammerphilharmonie Köln is at home all over the world. Our tours take us regularly to New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland and many other countries - and of course Germany. The selection of works and soloists is of particular importance. Due to the multi-faceted composition of the ensemble, the Kammerphilharmonie Köln gives each of its members the opportunity to present themselves as soloists.
The repertoire of the Kammerphilharmonie is constantly expanding and consists basically of hand-picked pieces. The special attraction of our programmes lies in the encounter of popular as well as unknown works from different musical eras. Familiar greats such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Vivaldi enter into dialogue with works from Sergei Prokofieff to tango king Astor Piazzolla. This mixture promises great variety at the highest level, without raising the musical index finger. After all, music should entertain rather than instruct.
To inspire people all over the world for classical music - that is our maxim.
Quite simple: classical music everywhere...
